Jason Revere is a Shreveport native whose passion for dogs started when he was young. His first memories are of him playing and running around in the backyard with his family's dogs, Chili Dog and Deagle. In his heart, Jason knew that dogs would always play a crucial part in his life, but he didn't know how.
When Jason was two weeks away from graduating with a bachelor's degree in business from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, he found an article that featured a woman who dedicated her life to training dogs as a way to help others. Jason became inspired and got in touch with the woman in the article.
The dog trainer referred Jason to the Bonnie Bergins Assistance Dog Institute in California. One month after he graduated from Louisiana State University, Jason moved to Santa Rosa. He eventually became the first person in the world to receive an associate's degree in assistance dog education.
Jason moved back to Shreveport in 2001 in order to fulfill his dream of training dogs. In 2002, he opened his own boarding kennel, The White House Pet Hotel. Then he founded The Hound House in 2014.
